Nothing wrong with being cautious. I think you're doing a great job!
When Gizmo went in for his last set of shots, a woman was coming in with a kitten in a blanket and saying he was really sick. My husband quickly put Gizmo in his carrying bag and told me to go out the back door to the car and he would pay the bill. When we got home, HE suggested we take our shoes off and wash our hands before we took him out.
And I thought he was my dog....these guys can really get to your heart!
