I used to just leave the TV or Radio on for the dogs and LOTS of toys!!!! Fun times without mommy home. When I came home I would put the special toys away for the next day. Then they had something to look forward to. I went home whenever i had a longer break/less work. I wouldn't be able to trust a dog walker or sitter. I'd be more worried all day. You could also set up a webcam in where you keep your baby so you could watch all day. Good luck!
