I think the way you explained it to her was wonderful. Death is hard on any child (and hard for them to understand)...but I think you did an excellent job in telling her what you did.

Thanks Brooke. My explanation seemed to help her, so I guess it was okay. She's smart, so she catches me off guard alot. And YES, I am so very proud of her and my grandson (Tommy) who is 3. I absolutely LOVE being a grandma!! I got to be there along with my son-in-law when they were both born, and I got to cut the cord. I think we bonded instantly. We are VERY close.
I still miss Lily ALL the time. I sometimes wonder if I'm losing my mind because every now and then, I smell her sweet puppy scent. I even smell it at work, am I crazy??????!!!!!?????
