Default PETLAND stories

As some of you might remember, my 6-month-old Yorktese came from Petland and had a liver shunt -- then later I found out how common it is for Petland pups to have genetic problems.

He went through his surgery (which totaled $2,150) and has fully recovered (i included some pics below that I took yesterday).

Unfortunately petland's policy is to refund or cover costs up to the dog's purchase price, so I'm only getting $800 from them toward the surgery.

I am the editor-in-chief of a weekly entertainment magazine in Baton Rouge, and I am currently working with one of my writers (who also happens to be a petsmart dog trainer) to do an exposee on Petland.

My writer actually got hired at Petland and plans to work there for two weeks to get some facts about how they operate.

But I would still love to get more personal stories. God forbid, has anything like this at petland ever happened to one you? If so, would you care to share?
