Unfortunately, the only thing that I wish I could figure out is how to get him comfortable if I leave the house suddenly, like on a Saturday or Sunday. Monday through Friday he knows my schedule so he expects my comings and goings. Come Saturday or Sunday, somehow he knows it's the weekend and if I get dressed and leave to run errands, he knows I'm not going to work and he gets very upset. Even though my DH is home and Scruffles loves him dearly, he will cry and howl at times because of my short departure.  |
oh Heather, Annika is the same way . . she seems to know my schedule so well . . like she know if it is a weekday or a weekend. I try to make the same gesture and say the right bye-bye words no matter what day it is so that sure has improved a lot.
