That is great! I didn't know that! Several friends race (BackRoads Racing) and they mainly drag in Sallisaw (sp) OK. and Centerville, AR.
Our friends just rented the drag strip in Centerville on Friday the 13th (eek) for a birthday party for one of the guys.
Just this past weekend, we did an event......we don't have drag cars, but we have hot rods...and my husband did the burnouts in his 68 Camaro. I forgot what his time and length was though. It was fun.
My dad and his buddies use to be able to "drag main street" back in the day....now, some towns will do an event called "drag main/cruise main"...those are fun.
Except for when you get some cocky young cops...like the ones that gave us a $216 ticket for "driving unreasonable" at the event this past weekend...I am still trying to get ahold of the mayor about that! (aurgh)
