Thank you all so much! I can see how a poorly bred yorkie that is bred will have even poorer quality yorkie pups that don't look yorkie-ish. I guess that didn't occur to me- it makes sense though; if people can take two great yorkies and breed them to make an even better litter of yokies, then the opposite direction can certainly be taken.
I still might look into this $50 test though, especially if it is just a swab of the cheek- I was thinking they might have to draw blood or marrow, in which case I'd definitely give reconsideration. I just want to know the truth about my baby.
My Trixie- I never saw his parents. I was SO naive when I bought him! The breeder won't even send me pics of them, which makes me a lot more suspicious. I've learned my lesson about that....
