If that still doesn't work she'll back up and make little growling noises and then bark. She'll also just stare at me sometimes.

She goes almost everywhere with me and hardly ever gets left at home so she always expects to go with me when I'm getting ready to leave. As soon as I pick up my purse and keys she runs to the door and wants me to pick her up to go (If she doesn't get her leash put on). It's sad when I do leave her because she looks at me with sad eyes like "You're not taking me?". Then when I get back home she is SO excited! She will jump up and down until I bend down and pet her and she gives me kisses. Then she runs around and attacks her toys and wants me to play with her.

When she barks and I tell her to hush sometimes she talks back to me by getting a last "woof" in (like a quieter bark)
That sounds sooooo much like Jake! These little doggies are VERY smart!! Jake even knows certain toys from others. Like, I can tell him to go get his squirrel, and he will get it....or his ball, etc. He is just so interesting to watch!
