maybe you can make a "gate."
when my sisters were little they liked to try and climb up the stairs. my mom got so fed up she took a piece of plywood, added some hinges and a hook/loop and attached it to the wall. it was like a barn door (sorry girls!) in front of the stairs.
she also added some drawer liner or leftover wallpaper to make it not look just like a piece of wood.
he won't be able to see out this way tho.
edgar would chew the gate too because he could fit his mouth around it. |
