I am sure this does not come as a surprise to anyone but I am in total agreement with Pat and the others. I noticed that the post # on the ad was number 1!!!!! That means the advertiser came on this forum only to make sales to people who LOVE this breed and want others to experience the joy in owning them. An ad, even SLIGHTLY less than exact, is never excusable, IMO.
I have checked several mags that I get and the last Ch. that Parquins features is in Dog Fancy and the year was 2002. That dog's name is Parquin's Royal Diamond. They list their phone area code as 239 which is not the same as in the ad.( As has already been pointed out, this ad is placed from CA.)
This is not to say that Parquin's is not still showing, I have no idea about that and I am sure they have other Ch. in their kennels. I just find it difficult to believe that such a well-known kennel would lend its name to pet quality puppies being bred and advertised in such a manner that appears to be their animals from their kennels. Again, JMO.
And, lastly, unless I have missed something as big as the name of the person placing the ad, they have not complied with the post by the adm to include their name in the ad as per policy. Nope, I just this minute checked and NO NAME other than the breeder which is falsely represented as Parquin's. Only if you read the subsequent posts will you see that the breeder is NOT Parquins but no inclusion of the actual breeder's name do I see. My dogs are from CH lines but do you think for one minute I would try to get over on a potential buyer by using their names as the "breeders". You bet your sweet hiney, I would NOT! that would be totally dishonest and and false advertising. I agree that you can use the kennel name if the owner has named the dog or bitch and included their name. HOWEVER, you cannot use their name as the breeder.
This could be the highest show ad site in the country--that is not my point. I have issues with advertising ANYWHERE in the manner thatyou have done on this forum. So, c'mon. Follow policies and include your name in your ad or take it down. We will back the adm anytime he upholds the policy and enforces it on purely objective terms. |
