The vet thinks def. surgery though. He only does one leg at a time. He said later on her right will have to be done too. He said he does this surgery at least once a month so that makes me feel more comfortable. I am just worried about her waking up. That scares me more than anything. I just cried on my way home from the vet. I think I am taking this worse than Hallee. She is a tropper, not a sound of pain out of her. I hate seeing her this way, but we are doing all we can for her. Of course she is not running around or jumping like she normally does. The vet said after the surgery her leg will be back to normal. Please pray for Hallee and keep her in your thoughts. She will be two next month. |
I had a Chihuahua who had luxating patella surgery on both legs, eight weeks apart. He got along fine and recovered completely. I am lucky to have a very experienced vet at the office I use who does this surgery often. People come to him from many surrounding states for luxating patella surgery. Your little one should get along fine. Keeping the dog quiet for the recovery period was the hardest part. Will keep Hallee in my thoughts and prayers.
