I understand what you mean but I mean breeding father with daughter to get a smaller dog to make more money (like puppy mills). I know the standard is there for a reason and i love watching dog shows. If there wasn't a standard who knows my baby could have big bucked teeth and eyes the size of billiard balls. I just dont like it when people jump all over you because there is one thing wrong. Like a half a pound over weight, their bite isnt right or something. I just feel so bad when someone says "Well YOUR dog doesnt meet the standard".

I am glad there is a standard because there are wonderful breeders out there who uphold that standard with great honor and do an amazing job doing it.

Well Im sorry if what i say comes of wrong I am horrible at trying to say what i mean. and if i offended you in any way i am terribly sorry i honestly didnt mean to.

I understand what you're saying.

Breeding father to daughter doesn't get smaller dogs....it can bring a whole lot of other problems when bred that close.

There is no perfect dog. Yes, I understand what you are saying about people telling you that your dog doesn't meet the standard. My 1st two are purely pets. First is black, soft coated, very cobby built, 10 pounds, but, oh so sweet and well behaved. My 2nd beautiful silk coat. Darling face....yeah doll faced and incorrect, big saucer eyes, very low tail set, very light in color and mean as the devil. I wouldn't trade either for anything. They were the reason and seeing that gorgeous yorkie I fell in love with the breed.

Bad bite, wrong coat, a bit over weight.....people want the standard show dog yorkie when purchasing a pet. But, don't understand pet breeders aren't breeding show dogs. And exhibitor/breeders are going to keep those for themselves or possibly sell them to another exhibitor for a show price and a very stringent contract.
