Default rough night!

I'm having real trouble with my girl sleeping through the night. Last night was the worst with all out screaming barking that started at 2 am. I am in month 3 with of adopting her at 6 months old. She is now 9 months. I have tried her in my bedroom, just outside the bedroom with the door open, and now she is in her crate in the farthest bedroom because she will wake up in the middle of the night barking no matter where she sleeps. My husband and I became exhausted from lack of sleep and decided the farthest bedroom is where she has to go. Early on I would take her out to pee at 2 am but we haven't done this for over 2 months - and she makes it through the night without any accidents. Where ever I move her she will be quiet for 3-4 nights then the barkng starts in. Right now my thinking is to continue to ignore this and hopefully it will go away - but I never expected it to take this long. Any suggestions?

More info is that she is not housetrained and she is on a strict potty schedule where I take her out to pee, she gets 20 minutes *supervised* free time in the house, then she is either onleash with me or in her crate. I'm thinking because of this housetraining schedule she isn't getting enough exercise. I'm not willing just leave her outside unsupervised as it would not be safe (besides the fact that she eats her poop and I don't want this happening either).

Any suggestions or help woud be appreciated!
