It's mostely tradition.....But, doesn't have to be. I've taken them in with hot pink and some boys because of their gorgeous gold I've taken in with black and some because their gold leaned towards a red I've used orange. I've seen some with green and others with blue. The red is traditional Oh! and on memorial day and the 4th of July I've taken them in with a red, white and blue sparkle bow.
