Tattletale, tattletale..they don't want to play the game "I" want to play.. There are threads that get a little heated, just because as we have all said, we're very passionate about our babies and want things to be done correctly and for the benefit of the breed. Even on the somewhat heated discussions that have gone on, there was a lot of interesting points brought up and most of us learned from them. I know, I plan to post bad web sites when I run across them and I hope people will continue to feel free to do the same when they have found something or had a bad experience.
As Mardelin said, no one is perfect, but, being honest and confronting a problem if there is one, there should be nothing to be afraid of. People can give opposite opinions, but not if the threads are closed after each post.
Freedom of speech...my son spent 4 years fighting for this right. It's something we should cherish. Not all people are so lucky. |
I agree with you 100%! There are many times when we see threads and personally don't like the direction they take. I see it all the time. We just have to learn to accept that opinions differ from our own and other individuals have as much right to voice them as we do. I personally don't think it warrants a rule change....I think it warrants us all to remember that it's not our responsibility, place or right to tell people what they can or can't post. That why we have moderators--that's THEIR job. They have done a great job thus far, why not let them continue and enforce things as THEY see fit.
I actually saw a thread a few minutes ago, the subject of which has been a very hot topic in the past. I read it, saw different opinions were allowed to be voiced, learned something I never knew before, and was really impressed with the fact that no one had gotten irritated or defensive or insulting or called for it to be closed. And did I mention that I (and others) learned something?
