We had alot of problems with outages because the guy who installed the dish put it in a bad spot and when we had bad wind the trees would block it but its moved now and it doesnt go out that much. My mom also has the DVR and LOVES it. you can rewind the show your watching if you miss a part or pause it if you have to go to the bathroom or something and dont want to miss a part of your show. plus it records whatever you set it to and you can watch it later.
