Your little guy is very cute regardless! But I know that
some people do tape them themselves and the vet
doing it isn't necessary. If you do a search you can
probably pull up some information that has been posted
in the past as far as the technique they use. Sorry,
I can't help you more but as daylight comes I am sure
more helpful people will emerge with some better answers
for you if you haven't found the info yourself at that point.
