The weight, height, stance, heritage, etc., all have a LOT to do with the price of a healthy Yorkie pup. And depending on your geographic location in the US, will also have a factor in the overall price of an AKC Yorkie pup, within breed standards.
I am not trying to be difficult, but for someone very concerned with keeping the breed standards--1/2 lb matters!
You were very lucky to get an AKC Yorkie for $300.00! I am very happy for you and your Yorkie baby. Even for a "pet quality" AKC Yorkie--that is a very low price.
