A wonderful woman just pm'd me and said that her puppy was a little shorthaired at the beginning too, but now he is all yorkie. I looked a his pic- of 8 weeks, and I can definately see a big similarity in what my little guy looks like, especially if he gets a little hair in the next 2 weeks. I don't think he is a min pin because he is very tiny. He has the same colors on his face as his daddy, who is a dark dilverish color and it's darker around his nose. I have seen a few on this site like that as well. It looks like a dark grey color mixed with light silver all around his nose. I would think that is where my baby gets his dark coloring around his nose.
**I have spoken to the breeder, and she assured me that if I needed she would have the pup DNA tested, and that there is 100% no chance any other dog could have gotten ahold of her female. She said that there are occasionally puppies who's hair grows slower that the rest, and he is the lucky one of this litter like that. I have said before the other puppies were already fluffier. If the mother is a redleg I guess that is why. I don't plan to breed him, and I don't care if his coat grows to the ground. As long as I am getting what I am paying for is what matters. I also assured her that if he still looks odd by the time I get him I certainly will take her up on the DNA testing. So, I guess we shall just have to see what develops. Either way, I love him.
