 collapsing
When we brought Zoey home I spent a lot of money at the vet because she hacked(coughed) all of the time and I was so worried. It was especially bad whenever she'd come back from playing at Bella's house(diggy 4) and I thought maybe it was their cat(allergies), the vet explained that yorkies have collapsing tracheas and they are very small openings. Some nights it was so bad she was up every 1/2 hour coughing and i losing sleep.
Finally I realized that it was all the exercise. When she went to Bella's they would play and play and she'd have more episodes just like know when her and Boston are running around the house, after so much she'll start hacking and I'll have to tell her that's enough.
I think maybe when she was younger it was worse because her body was still growing so maybe that's what's going on with yours?
