I TOTALLY understand how you are feeling. We (hubby) also have a Harley. Back in 2002 he hit a car head on. He was out of work for 6 months, degloved the front of his leg, from under the knee down, broke his tibia and had many, many scrapes and bruises, not to mention I had to practially become a nurse to take care of him, the IV's, meds, cleaning the wound, making sure the pin sites were clean, change the dressings, everyday, twice a day for 3 months....and I then would go to work. (he had an external fixature for the first 3 months then a cast for the next 3). I THANK GOD everyday that he didn't lose his leg...it came very close to that. He bought a brand new Harley 2 years ago. To say the least I am terrified to ride but, because of my husbands love and passion for bikes, if I want to be with him I have to ride....or stay home alone. My Mom bought me a guardian angel that I wear on the lapel of my leather coat and, I NEVER ride before I say a pray to God for a safe ride. We have a bike angel hanging from the handle bars, and a bell to "ward off road gremlins". We have almost gotten hit a couple of times because of STUPID people that don't look. I don't enjoy the ride like I should because I am "the eyes in the back of his head". I pray you ALWAYS have safe rides...
