I'm just having a hard time with it because both vets said it will be a wait and see thing, but the breeder said she doesn't know how much longer the mother will let the puppy nurse and since it can't eat anything else without choking, she doesn't know how much longer the puppy will survive if his symptoms don't improve. Even though I haven't brought him home yet I have been to visit every week since he was born and I am already really attached to him. And it's not that the other puppy she has reserved for me is any different (they look almost identical except for a small white patch on the chest) its just that I think of this one as mine. Oh well, there's really nothing anyone can do except hope that it gets better. Thanks for your answers everyone. |
