Bailey had surgery to remove 7 bladder stones 13 days ago. He is still straining and whimpering when he pees and he is trying to pee in the house which he never does. He always seems to think that he needs to pee. Sometimes a little comes out, sometimes nothing comes out. This morning he would not eat and was whimpering and would not even try to go. He would just stand there and look at me and whimper. I took him to the vet this morning and left him there for tests.
The vets office just called and said that he was walking around and had peed and that nothing was wrong with him.
I know that something is not right! When he is home, he tries and tries to pee and whimpers like it hurts. This is the third vet who has told me that nothing else is wrong with him.
Is this normal behavior 1 1/2 weeks after bladder stone surgery? I just have a gut feeling that something is wrong but I've run out of vets to get another opinion from.
I need to know from those who have had this surgery for their babies if this is normal. I am so worried!!!
