hmmm...sounds like an aggressive dog.
try working with him on a leash inside the house. make him follow you wherever you go. and it's very important that you lead him. always be the first one through doorways, the first one up stairs, etc.
if he knows how to sit and lay down, use these commands often. always make him sit before going through a doorway, receiving food, etc.
