Do dogs gets heat rash? I took my Yorkie yesterday at the dog park and he was playing for the first 45 minutes - then all of a sudden, he just sat in the shade and wouldn't play anymore... so I took him and we left. In the car, I felt these little bumps all over his skin... It was red and raised bumps, kinda looks like bug bites (mosquito bites) and these bumps were all over his skin!
I panicked and made an appointment with the vet.. but the earliest appointmet was at two and I called at like 11:30!! So I was like fine, I made the appointment.
In the meantime, I kept on urging my Yorkie to drink water and I opened the window in our room and blasted the fan pointing on him to cool him down. I would say about 30 minutes later, the bumps on his lower body were gone... and like an hour later, all of the bumps were gone...
So I was wondering if any of your YTer's had this problem before? I just want to know if they get heat rashes or something like that...
