I don't know anything about this but I know that the litter my Jersey came out of lost a little boy. He was tiny and the vet (Who also happens to be my vet for the past 10 years) reccomended against docking to the breeder as the pup was very tiny. The breeder insisted on having it done and she lost the pup. He bled to death. I was really upset when I heard this. As much as I love my vet I put some of the blame on him for caving in to what the breeder wanted rather then what was in the best interest of the pup. If your boy is tiny I really would either wait or just not have it done at all. Just my .02. It would be a shame to lose him just for esthtic purposes. Elaine
