LOL. I asked the same thing. Aclub member has the rats as pets. They are always caged and surprisingly don't seem to mind the dogs.
Evidently, the club is not allowed to hold the demonstration in Anchorage (the big city) because they use live rats. They had to hold it in a rural area 40 miles away.
