| Hello....looks like I've found your thread too late ! Well as metioned earlier I am Debra, and I live up the road from you, though my sister lives in Findochty, and owns a shop in Cullen.
I see you are not getting a Yorkie at the moment, so just to let you know - please pm me if you decide to get one at anytime. I have three Yorkies myself (who by the way are friends with our 2 cats and large Bearded Collie) and I can tell you a lot about who to get and who not to get your Yorkie from ! I would be interested to know who you were going to purchase from too !
I'll tell you why - well yes, there are a lot of puppy farmers and scammers in Aberdeenshire, and I am aware of a few of them. I have had my first Yorkie for 7 years, since she was 6 weeks, and rescued/bought my other two Yorkies - one from near Rosehearty who was in a terrible state. The two I bought in the Central belt were fine.
A friend of mine bought one straight from a horrendous puppy farm near Inverurie - despite knowing - none of us could leave him there - in an outside pen all on his own at 6 weeks - no Mum, and those who we were told were his parents in a different building, were is a terrible state and were bred every season.
So please let me know if you plan on another Yorkie any time.
I can tell you they are good with all animals and kids, and I can advise you where not to go, and what to look out for
It would have been nice to have a Scottish pal - I seem to be all on my own up here ! BOOHOO ! Best Wishes, Debra x x x x TARA,7(avatar pic on left) CASPER,4.5 TAMMY,4 ALL 4LBS AND TINY ! |
