I was never angry with the Petsmart employee for having his own opinion, I was angry that 1) he felt the need to express it to a customer who was purchasing a doggie dress, and 2) he did so in a mean and hurtful way.
We all have the right to have and express our own opinions. We all do NOT have the right to be mean and hurtful to others. She stated her opinion, but did so politely and was not mean or hurtful in doing so. |
I was only questioning it b/c I wasn't sure if she meant SHE disagreed with it OR she meant the petstore employee might disagree with it. And stipulated, we do all have the right to our own opinon, but when it comes to difference of opinions and VOICING them against the company that you work for's policy whether it's done nicely or not, is still WRONG. Your feelings were hurt, but it goes beyond your hurt feelings and it's pervasive in the workforce in America.
