Wow, what a little talk about crotches won't do. I mean crocheting.

If you are just learning, you may find it helpful to count the second row of stiches to make sure you have the same number as the first row and then put a safty pin in the last stitch. Then put a pin in the beginning stitch of the third row and crochet into the stitch with the safety pin in the end of that row. Now, when you get to the end of the fourth row you'll know where the end is because the safety pin is in the last stitch. It will look like this.

turn
xxxxxxxxxxp row 2
turn
pxxxxxxxxxx row 3
turn
xxxxxxxxxxx row 4

Then each row, you can move the safety pins until you become comfortable that you are catching all the stitches.
