My Vet said if it is not closed by the time she is 12 months there will be some Problems. I did not even notice that ( WHAT KIND OF A YORKIE MOMMY AM I ???) - my friend did on our Playdates with her Pug and Rottweiler. Yeah crazy - huh - they LOVE her and play realy good with her.
Anyway it is the size of a 25 Cent piece and I read some realy upsetting things when I Googled some links.
I hope she will be fine - she is a very smart, playfull, sweet, activ, (defelish if she wants to) puppy. But always an for Daddy. HA HA
Nice to meet you and hope to hear from you and your cutie Adie soon : |
You are not a bad mom! My vet found Adie's. Although it isn't as big as Maya's she (the vet) did say it was large. I'd say it bigger than a nickle but not as large as a quarter. I would also recommend letting the breeder know about it. AND I still say don't worry about it. I think hydrocephalus is the exception rather than the rule. By the way, my brother's first wife had an open fontanel and she in her sixties now without EVER having any kind of problem. She even got hit right on it when a carpenter dropped a hammer on her head. She had bruising and a concusion but would have had that anyway! LOL.
