If your baby just had shots that's probably what it's from. When that happened to Vinnie after his second round I was told that sometimes they don't go in deep enough so the vaccine can settle right under the skin and it can take awhile for it to absorb. As long as it doesn't hurt it's ok to rub it and get it to disperse quicker. I had the same thing happen and I freaked out, but the rubbing worked, it only took one time. Good Luck!!
