Hi Sookie, my Annika loves her Celtei as well and for me it sure does not look like a carrier. Just all plain black and looks more like a handbag. I got it from another YT member slightly used but it no longer had the strap. It originally was for Tiger and he outgrew it . . so Annika had been using it for a while now and I do remember her not wanting to poke her head out because she too would just go to sleep .

She has grown so much though so she no longer fits But I loved that purse so much and will never part with it as I know I will eventually have a little one again. For now she is using the Sherpa bag for travelling

As for holders for keys and stuff, mine came pretty decent to allow for keys, cell phone on another side and a small wallet

Was yours an XS or a P? I thought it didn't look at all like a purse because it's so big. I should add, however, that no one knew I had a dog with me. No one! The only place to put keys is a tiny zipper opening on the one side - it's not big enought for a wallet or glasses though.
