I will be afraid of the hawks and other animals, and in the night no way Jose, Maybe you should get a play-pen (Petsmarts or Petco) with some pads food, water, toys (inside) or baby gate to keep her confine in the kitchen or bathroom, when you can keep the eagle eye on her, you can also take her outside with you to do her business. At night I crate Phoebe but I always make sure that she potty first, plus her crate was next to me in my side of the bed so I can hear when she need it to go, she is now 100% potty train
