There's more than one type of allergy to animals. I'm allergic to dog dander, the fur. I sneeze and get itchy eyes around shepherds & spaniels...you know, those shedding furry dogs. I'm not allergic to single coated breeds. My Jack was Maltese and I have 3 Yorkies. My daughter and her son are allergic to dog saliva, dog breath. She has asthma and has to take her Singulair before she comes to our house. Her son has sneezing, itchy eyes symptoms. For someone with that type of allergy a Yorkie is just a dog. |
