I have heard from my groomer, who has been in the business for over 22 years, that once you start cleaning the anal glands that it will be an on going process. She said that she does not ever really do it unless it is absolutely necessary because from her experience after you do it the first time it needs to be done regularly. I don't even know if she has done it to my girls yet.
