As a lot of you know, my full time job is taking care of 2 elderly ladies in a private elderly care home.
This is all private funding, so medicaid or medicare does NOT pay for any of their rent.
One of the ladies that lives here has almost ran out of money, reasoning:
She did not pay her taxes for 8 years! This lady is 89 years old and has Alzheimer's. But the IRS does not care and they have come back on her and they want their money!
So now this poor lady has to go back into a nursing home come September because she is out of funds.
We have had her for 2 years and it's just killing me that she will be leaving us.
She has no family, she was married 2 times but no kids. Both husbands has passed away.
The only family she has now is a great nephew from marriage.
They have hired an attorney that cost her $5000 and he has not done anything but take more of her money.
This is so sad
