Never let him go when he is wiggling and squirming. Wait for the ONE second of calm, then let him go. Very g-r-a-d-u-a-l-l-y increase the amount of time that he has to be calm to be let go: one second, then 2, 3, etc. In this way, he learns that to get what he wants (to be free), he first has to be constrained.
