where did I go wrong??? A friend of mine was complaining to me about her dog... she loves her dog to pieces but shes sooooo much work...
My response to her is below, I don't know how I got into this mess! My boys mean the world to me but man oh man, can you imagine being a 'single' mother to this insanity day in and day out???
"I think we ALL feel like that with our dogs... I love my boys to PIECES! But are they GOOD dogs???? HELL NO! They pee & poop in the house EVERYDAY and they are almost 2 years old! Im up to my eyeballs fed up with it! They are jealous with each other and they are sooooo needy! I mean they follow me everywhere, whine when I don't pet or pick them up. Dexter BEGS sooooo badly sometimes I want to lock him up when I'm eating just to not have him jump up on me and beg the WHOLE time Im eating. Fletcher is afraid of EVERYTHING in the house! The AC kicking on, the water running, the dishwasher running, slapping at mosquitos (this is his newest fear, if you slap at a mosquito he goes & hides and you dont see him again all night - this is from a dog who has NEVER been hit in his life!!! i could see if he was abused and I rescued him!), they are starting to fight with each other because they are possessive of me, and now I have to watch Fletch with kids bc he does not like them and I get afraid that someday he will snap at one! Oh and they BARK BARK BARK alllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the time!!! (heard enough?) not to mention, chewing holes in walls, baseboards, cabinets, eating shoes, pants, bras... Most would wonder how I do it!!! LOL The only time I wish I didnt' have them is when I want to take off for a night/weekend and I can't bc they can't come and I don't have someone to watch them. But that happens maybe 2 - 3x a year, so its not a big deal!
HAHAHA - you think you have it bad! LMAO!!!! I just made them sound like little satans! Every word of that is true!"
What do you think???? I still love them more than ANYTHING!
