 My husband altered the cage
We were having the same trouble so my husband came up with a brillant idea and it worked wonders! Our lil guy was not making it through the night in the cage so we have the open cage that has doors on the side and the end. He found a box and attached it to one end with no way to escape. We laid a training pad in it and placed his toys and pillow in the cage part. He never messed in the cage again and we just changed the pad every morning etc. to make sure it was kept clean. The added benefit...he became accustomed to the pads and went staight to them when he was in our room! Now if transitioning him outside was as easy!? We can't get him to go outside! We even set the timer to every 30 minutes when we are home! |
