This is the best way to go. A good breeder would not breed a bitch that is under 5 lbs. But you will see people breeding females that are 4 lbs. and sometimes a lttle smaller than that to an even smaller male. They are purposely trying to get the very tiny puppies. They brag that the parents are so small. That is very unhealthy for the bitch and the pups. A lot are prone to have healthy problems. Not ALL tinies are going to be sick but why take the risk? Also, with such a tiny bitch, you run into a higher risk of c-sections. Now, why anyone would do that to their dog is beyond my comprehension!
