We've never had fleas. Mine get weekly baths with lavendar & mint shampoo that repels fleas. It works best if you let it sit on their fur for a few minutes. I've heard dawn dishsoap works if they already have fleas too.
mine get baths weekly with cowboy magic and i am blown away at the fact we have fleas right now. i think what happened is my brother borrowed our air mattress and some bedding when he was staying at one of our properties doing some construction. and when he brought the stuff back, we were out of town and he left it in our hallway by the laundry room. now we have fleas. so i'm thinking the place he was working at must have had them. i know he had a problem with his dog getting ticks a lot. so i am guessing this is the problem. now i am having a hard time getting rid of them. i applied frontline first thing monday morning and i am still finding live fleas on the dogs. i have not bathed her since applying it but over the weekend they got baths with dawn, we cleaned the CRAP out of the house, washed everything in sight, used baking soda on the carpets and furniture before vacuuming...but we are battling these fleas still. i'm about to put my head through the wall!!!
