the same as my neighbor did when their minpin broke his leg.. You recalculate ur budget and make things work. Thas a member of your family.
I mean i have gotten in trouble in here for comparing a yorkie to my child but if my son breaks his arm, as a single parent i make it work.
I do see why you ask the question, but to me its a no brainier. and YESSSSSSSS there are people who get dogs like i did when i was 18 and don't realize how much time and work it takes to raise one, or even just get settled.That can be the same for a free dog as well, they just don't know that it cost to raise a living being. But being poor and having to save up to get a dog doesn't make u less of a pet owner, just because you cant shove out money from your wallet because its already in the bank.
