My aunt used to have a lab that would eat from her bowl while the family was in the kitchen, but if we were in the living room when she was fed, she would get a mouthful of kibble, carry it into the living room, and drop it on the carpet to eat it in there with us. She did the same thing in the dining room if that is where we are. She just wanted to be with us, and couldn't be torn between her family and her food!!!
