Really truly, when we get the bike and I am comfortable riding -- I have only been on a motorcycle once in my life and I was TERRIFIED! It was a Honda Goldwing!. Anywaywe are going to take a few short day trips so I can get over motorcycle fear and then we are going to HIT THE ROAD. We will go whereever there is a YT member who wants to share a cup of coffee and a hug.

I need to edit that to say we will go where ever there is a PAVED road and a YT member who wants to share a cup of coffee and a hug. Ron said no dirt roads with his Harley

Rome Georgia is about 4 hours from me..that would be a good practice ride! And all the roads are paved! We have a Harley Davidson Road King and ride all the time...Oscar even goes with us sometimes! You will love the Ultra Classic! We sat on one Saturday and it was oh so comfy! They are the Cadillac of the Harley's!!! Hope you have fun on your trip! We belong to the Christian Motorcyclists Association and the longest ride I have ever been on was to the CMA headquarters in Hatfield, Arkansas...every year in October we will be going there. Some friends of ours just drove from here to Maine on their Harley!!! What a trip!!! Hope you guys have good luck finding your Harley...and don't be scared...the best advice I ever heard for being a passenger is just to lean back and become a part of the bike...don't lean with the driver in the turns or try to help him balance the bike...just be the bike and you will automatically lean where you should. Have fun!!!
