i think legally in some states its okay at 6 or 7 weeks. and yes she let the pup go at a young age. letting her leave early doesnt sound like the problem. its sounds like something was seriously wrong with the puppy. if they couldnt rush her to an emergcy vet i would have gotten an autopsy done to see what was wrong to back up a the case. and i think they would only have a case if the breeder gave a warranty.
Good luck, please keep us posted. all in all if the breeder can she should give some kind of refund or a replacement puppy if there isnt a warranty contract. if there is a contract, the puppy needed to be examed to fine what the cause was to determine if it is under the warranty (which i know sounds strange) but say the puppy eat something while her new parents glanced away and it clogged her or something, thats not going to be covered by the breeder that would be seen as the new parents fault.
