Default Question about Flea's and Minksheen

Otis has been chewing at his tail again lately. The last time he did it the vet said he had hayfever and put him on pills. I had just put frontline on him at the time, it was about 5/30. Well, he's been goin at it again, so I decided to give him a bath with minksheen. When I put him in the tub I saw a flea had jumped off. I have been checking him a lot and haven't seen any on his belly, or any flea dirt. His body is black so it's hard to see anywhere else. Do flea's bunch up above their tail? So here is a question.
1. Does minksheen help if he already has flea's?

He is also liver compromised, I think, because his post bat was 53. but again, this was after an application of front line. He is on lactulose and doesn't have any problems with those symptoms anymore. So I don't want to use frontline because of that situation. Now I'm not sure how to treat his flea's because of a potential liver problem. Leads me to question 2.

2. Can a liver compromised dog wear a flea collar?

I think I'm gonna check in with folks at the yahoo mvd/group about holistic flea remedies, too.
We now have the "post bath Zoomies!!!!" I'm crackin up at him.
