Maybe not all Amish are puppymillers but a huge majority of them are. I live in Amish country, I see them everyday. Unfortunately I don't think very highly of the Amish anymore. They aren't all bad but unfortunately many are. Puppymills are very very common here and yes they come from the Amish. The Amish view the dogs as livestock so they don't put much care into them. I have seen a lot of Amish around here take such poor care of their horses as well. It is so sad because I see it everyday. So in general, I would never buy a puppy from the Amish and would advise people against it as well. |
