Most of them DO like to be snuggled though. But it does depend on the dog. My boy has ALWAYS liked to lay on me. And if he is on the sofa or in a chair, he will be RIGHT beside me. And he will crawl up in my lap sometimes.    |  
 
  I agree with this 100%.  Not all yorkies are going to fit the same description, but for the most part they are known for being energetic.  They're terriers after all, which means most of them have the need to run & chase 
a lot.  My boy is very loyal & sweet but also extremely hyper - the polar opposite of a lap dog.  I just let him be himself and not expect to change his personality to suit my need for cuddling - that's what my 2 cats are for
