Have you considered looking in a new direction? What do you think of the possibility that rather than an allergy, it is a nervous condition? The only reason I ask is that you have said you have just tried everything under the sun. I think I would try and find out if the scratching is some kind of nervous condition, and the redness is a result of the scratching.
